Gavita ballasts dissipate very little heat and there is no reason why you shouldn't install complete fixtures in your grow room. Long wires from remote high frequency electronic ballasts to lamps can cause electromagnetic intereference. Using complete fixtures eliminates any EMI caused by electronic ballasts and enables easy installation.
